A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the imprisonment of former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode. The decision was reached today, June 28, 2016, by presiding judge, Justice Sule Hassan following Fani-Kayode’s arraignment on money laundering charges, according to Daily Trust. Fani-Kayode was charged along with former finance ministers, Nenadi Usman and one Danjuma Yusuf for allegedly laundering N4.9 billion. The accused persons will be imprisoned until their bail applications are heard on Friday, July 1.

The minister of state for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu has revealed that President Buhari is in support of talks with the militants in the Niger Delta. The Court of Appeal in Lagos on Tuesday, struck out appeals by Ecobank, against a Federal High Court’s ruling, over alleged indebtedness of Honeywell Plc. Ecobank had in January, instituted a suit before the lower court, over an alleged N3.5 billion unpaid loan facility by Honeywell.
