At about 2:05 pm this afternoon there was an explosion at the Kano State School of Hygiene located in Kano Municipal City Area of Sabo Kofar. The bomb was planted within the school compound close to the road by a yet to be identified person(s). Eight (8) persons are so far confirmed dead while scores of others are wounded and presently receiving treatment. Emergency services have been fully mobilised to the scene of the incident, while investigation is on-going. The construction of Oweto Bridge across River Benue in Nasarawa and Benue States is 60% completed.
