In a bid to mitigate the incidence of flooding and reestablish drainage right of way, the Lagos State Government (LASG) yesterday ordered owners of properties erected on drainage channels and impeding the free-flow of water to immediately vacate or risk being removed. The Government of Oyo State has disclosed that 60% of the latest tranche of Paris Club Refund totalling N7.9 billion will be expended on salaries, wages and pensions of workers in the state, saying that its decision to use 100% of its federal allocations for workers’ welfare still stands.
