The federal government yesterday revealed that the training of Nigerian soldiers by the US military was cancelled due to the absence of some logistical components needed for the training. The IED was discovered near Tin City school of Electronics and Fatima Primary school under a culvert around Laranto market in Jos north local government area of the state, according to Daily Trust. Suspected Boko Haram gunmen on Thursday stormed Ashaka Cement factory in Gombe. The attack on the Lafarge-owned cement plant is the second in two months. They were however repelled by the military. The insurgents had stormed Ashaka town, where the cement company is located, as well as Bajoga town. They also raided banks and burnt government buildings and offices of political parties.
