Thirty-nine Boko Haram fighters have been killed in clashes with Cameroonian troops, according to the defence ministry. Four civilians were also killed in Friday’s fighting in the far north of Cameroon near Nigeria, AFP reports. A 51-year-old mother of four children has been nabbed by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, in Lagos State with 3.44kg of cocaine and heroin hidden inside body cream. Suspected sea pirates have reportedly abducted six oil workers and four policemen in separate attacks in Nembe council area of Bayelsa State. “Policemen escorting Agip barge were attacked on Friday,” reports Vanguard, citing a security source.
