A Niger Delta activist, Miss Annkio Briggs, has said that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs have failed to achieve the essence for which they were established. President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has claimed ownership of the jet impounded in South Africa for bearing $9.3 million meant for arms purchase. The Federal Government yesterday opened diplomatic discussions with South African authorities on the seizure of $9.3m cash found on two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen. According to reports, the money was meant for the purchase of arms on behalf of Nigerian security services. The Nigerian government has therefore insisted that the deal was legal. A woman has miraculously survived the collapse of a building at the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, as she walked away only slightly injured after being pulled from the rubble.
