Scores have been reported dead and many others trapped when a building in the premises of the popular Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ejigbo in Lagos collapsed. Founded by Prophet T.B Joshua, SCOAN is a Mecca of sorts to local and foreign visitors, who throng the church on an almost daily basis in search of miracles, among others. About 500 troops have been deployed to the North East to contain insurgency in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states, the Federal Government, yesterday, confirmed. A 26 year-old man was on Thursday arraigned before a Kano Magistrates’ Court for allegedly r*ping a minor. A Minna Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered the remand of a 55-year-old woman, Fatima Tsaraka for allegedly killing her grandson. Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has repatriated 7,000 illegal immigrants from January to date, Mr David Parradang, Comptroller-General of the service said on Wednesday. Parradang told journalists in an interview that the service was determined to deliver its statutory mandate of controlling movement of foreigners into the country. According to him, aliens who tried to enter Nigeria through illegal routes around the borders, were apprehended and sent back.
