The death toll in the communal clash that broke out, Thursday, between Jukuns and Hausas in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State has risen to 14, with two Soldiers among those killed. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Taraba State command, ASP Joseph Kwaji confirmed the deaths to Journalists in Jalingo on Friday. The Bauchi State Police Command yesterday said it uncovered improvised explosive devices (IEDs) buried inside a building in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of the state. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Haruna, confirmed the incident to journalists in his office in Bauchi, saying the discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) says it is maintaining strict screening of visitors at airports, seaports and border areas to prevent the spread of Ebola Virus into the country. The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, in Benue, have ordered their members to embark on an indefinite strike with effect from July 31 if the state government fails to meet their demands.
