An attack by gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram on some communities in Chibok and Biu local government areas of Borno State led to the death of over 51 people, most of which are Christian worshippers. The police in Jalingo confirmed that unknown gunmen on Saturday trailed and killed 13 Fulani herdsmen who were returning from village markets in Garba-Chede and Maihula. The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Sunday said it arrested 104 suspects involved in various drug related offenses in Taraba between January and June. Mr Yusuf Kwajafa, the agency commandant in the state, told newsmen in Jalingo that the suspects were arrested with assorted illicit drugs at various locations across the state.
