Islamist sect Boko Haram has written to Chibok about an impending return to the town where over 200 girls were abducted by the sect on April 14. The letter, which informed the people of the town to expect the terror group as soon as possible, it was learnt, has caused them to panic, with many already making moves to flee the town. Army authorities at the 144 Battalion, Asa in Ukwa West local government of Abia state on Sunday arrested 486 persons suspected to be insurgents from some northern states. State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Eze Chikamnayo disclosed this on Monday, while briefing newsmen at the military base in Asa on the arrest. At least 25 people have been feared killed in a fresh communal clash that broke out yesterday in the ancient city of Wukari in Taraba State. The police in Kwara said three persons died on Monday in a clash among suspected political party rivals in Ilorin. Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, said 12 suspects had also been arrested in connection with the clash.
