Mr Ishaku Shekari, the Kaduna State Accountant General, said on Monday that only 500, 000 out of the six million taxable residents in the state pay their taxes. Immediate past governor of Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kure, has risen in defence of his colleagues, who delegates, at the ongoing National Conference demanded should be thrown in jail for corruption as well as leaving their states largely undeveloped.
