SOME BUSES AFFECTED BY explosion AT NYANYA MOTOR PARK IN Abuja ON MONDAY (14/4/14).

Following the early morning bomb explosion that killed no fewer than 50 people in Nyanya, Abuja, on Monday, the scheduled trip of President Goodluck Jonathan to Ibadan, Oyo State, has been cancelled.

The president was earlier scheduled to attend the centenary birthday anniversary of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Odulana Odugade, which holds in the ancient town today.

It was also learnt that Mr. Jonathan would pay a visit to the blast scene at Nyanya. However, there are no clear indications if the president will make the trip later in the day or not.

Meanwhile, the four Service Chiefs, and the National Security Adviser are already in Nyanya to carry out first hand assessment of the damage caused by the explosion.
