Avoca offers range of 7″ – 9.7″ tablets to support mobile computing in charities
London, 1st April 2014 – Technology Trust today announced the availability of a range of Avoca Tablets through its tt-exchange donation programme. While the limited stocks last, eligible UK charities and housing associations can purchase up to 500 Avoca Android tablets each, at rates of nearly 60% off the regular retail price.
Avoca is allocating its existing stock of 7″, 8″ and 9.7″ tablet range to eligible organisations through tt-exchange on a first come, first served basis for reduced rates starting at just over £40. The tablets can be used by charity staff and volunteers to support communication, learning and development and mobile working. All tablets include a high resolution HD touch-screen, built-in camera, audio and Wi-Fi, and support streaming video content, Android apps and a range of e-books.
“Supporting the not-for-profit sector is an important part of our business ethos,” said Paul Lyon of Avoca distributor, STB. “We are pleased to be working with Technology Trust to provide charities with affordable access to mobile working practices through our tablet range.”
“Being able to offer mobile devices to team members means charities can communicate more effectively with staff and volunteers on the go, and in the field. It also means organisations can attract the best candidates to help deliver and support their missions, regardless of where they are based,” said Richard Craig, CEO of Technology Trust. “We are grateful to Avoca for offering such a generous discount on their tablets through our tt-exchange programme.”
Eligible organisations can purchase up to 500 Avoca tablets (in total) for the following prices:
- 7″: £40.83 + VAT
- 8″: £57.50 + VAT
- 9.7″: £74.17 + VAT
This offer is open to UK charities registered with the Charity Commission, the Office of the Scottish Charity Registrar (OSCR), the Northern Ireland Charity Registrar and charitable Housing Associations. Products will be distributed to eligible organisations only, not to individuals.
*Charities interested in obtaining more than 500 tablets can request contact Technology Trust directly (customerservice@technology-trust.org).
