Two people were killed and three others kidnapped in the hamlet of Kanzanna in the Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State by individuals suspected to be bandits.
SP Nafi’u Abubakar, the Kebbi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed this on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him, on October 18 at around 3 a.m., bandits launched an attack on the village.

Abubakar claimed that Mr. Chris Aimiono-Wane, the Commissioner of Police, had visited the community and expressed his sympathies to the locals.
Mobile anti-kidnapping and counter-terrorism officers, he said, have been sent to the region.
He claims that law enforcement is actively searching for the robbers and their hideouts in the neighbouring woods and along major thoroughfares.
According to Abubakar, the Commissioner of Police has condemned the attack and promised justice for the victims’ families by bringing all abductees home safely.
