Chief Secretarial Assistant (CSA) Ibrahim Garba’s employment with the State Pension Board of Bauchi State was terminated due to allegations of serious misconduct and his involvement in a salary/pension scam.
At its 17th plenary session conducted on 1st August, 2023 in Bauchi, the State capital, the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) voted to terminate the official’s employment.
The Information Officer of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission, Saleh Umar, issued a press release informing the media that Garba’s appointment had been terminated.

Umar claims that following the death of one Audu Mohammed, the relatives of the dead reported the change of pay point by having Garba switch the account number of the deceased with his own account number.
Afterward, Umar said, “Ibrahim Garba received an illegal pension for fifty five (55) months of N54,871.26 each month for four (4) years seven months, which totaled N3,017,919.30, which shall be recovered from him.”
He revealed that the indicted official had been found guilty of breaking Public Service Rule (PSR) 0327(XI), which dealt with concerns of financial theft, by the disciplinary committee of the State pension board.
The cop was involved in a wage and pension scheme, the release states, and was found guilty of “serious misconduct.” Public Service Rule (PSR) 0327(XI), which addressed matters of financial embezzlement, has been broken.
Alhaji Abubakar Usman, chairman of the commission, has urged state employees to carry out their work with a reverence for God and in accordance with the State’s Public Service Rule (PSR).
