Bayelsa Govt Dissolves Youth Dev Committee; Assure Members of Plans to Engage Them in Other Areas of Need

Following the formal setting up and inauguration of the Bayelsa Volunteers to, among other things mobilize support for the government and work closely with the security agencies and constituted authorities in the various communities across the state to forestall any security breach, the government has decided to dissolve the Bayelsa Youth Development Committee.

This is with immediate effect. The Government is, however, thanking the membership of the Youth Development Committees at the State and Local Government levels for their selfless and dedicated service to the restoration government and people of the state and wished them well in all their future endeavours.

Governor Seriake Dickson re-assured them of the government’s plan to engage them in other areas of need in the future and urged them to remain supportive of the policies and programmes of the restoration administration.
