Former All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Publicity Secretary Yekini Nabena predicted that the APC would cause a major upset in the upcoming election, surprising both the incumbent governor Duoye Diri and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Infostride News, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje launched the party’s nationwide campaign team on Friday with the mandate to rally support for party nominee Timipre Sylva, as well as familiarize themselves with relevant policies and regulations.
To avoid uncertainty, Nabena told reporters on Sunday in Abuja that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, must soon announce the election rules it will use.

He insisted that INEC must inform voters of its plans to deploy BVAS and to transmit election results from the voting place.
The security apparatus, according to Nabena, must initially concentrate on Bayelsa State. Also, INEC needs to be more transparent than they were last time. Is it BVAS, or can we just act anyway we choose and let INEC handle the results? There seems to be no plan of action. So, do anything you want, and when INEC comes back, they can do whatever they want. They claim INEC told them they have no transmission power.
Voters need to know where INEC is headed so they can cast their ballots accordingly. In order to ensure that everyone’s vote is secure. Not some random person who will sneak off to Government House to draft them for the INEC.
Do you plan on sending us the tally from the polling places? And if not, what are your plans? Will you be utilizing BVAS? Give it to us straight, from the get-go. This should serve as a standard, and everyone should know that it is final. No single court would rule that INEC can do whatever it wants. Politics is the most lucrative industry in the world.
Nabena, who was born in Bayelsa, responded, “We are going to win” when asked about the party’s chances in the upcoming election. It’s been done before, and it can be done again.
