It seems former BBA housemate Maria Nepembe, has the world at her fingertips after bagging an impressive job as a presenter on a hip and happening fashion-related television show in Ghana late last year.
.
The glam model has wholeheartedly embraced continental fame after her BBA experience.
.
Marias has even relocated to Ghana where she is working with Ghone TV,and has revealed that there is quite a number of projects coming up this year but remains secretive about the new ventures she will be exploring once her stint at Glam TV ends.
.
About her Glam TV show, she says; “It is a fashion and lifestyle programme. It is very fun exciting and young. What we do is cover events and interview designers as we look at what’s trending in all areas of hair, clothes, make-up and handbags.
.
So we do all things lifestyle and hope to show it on DStv soon so that Namibians are able to watch it, but for now it only airs in Ghana.“
.
Glam TV gives free advice and tips on fashion and lifestyle from seasoned fashion designers, make- up artists and hair stylists.
.
But even with her new found job and success in Ghana, Maria claims she still feels homesick and promises to visit Namibia soon.
.
“As soon as I’m done recording my show, I will be back home. But so many projects are yet to come but for now I’m not certain as to how long exactly I will still be here. The social scene is impressive.
.
There is always a party somewhere or an event or some movie premiere.”
.
“You hardly get bored because there is always something to do. I feel very much at home. I’m someone who can really adapt quickly and easily to any given environment and fit in perfectly. I have even mastered their accent plus I have picked up a few words from their language,” she said.
.
Ghanaian food, she says, is not as much to her liking though.
.
“I’m still finding it really hard to get used to their food. They eat everything with chilli and their chilli is something else compared to what we have in Namibia. Strong!”
.
Not only does she miss Namibian food, she also longs to see her friends and family. “I really miss our cool weather. It’s really humid here.
.
Apart from that I miss the food, my family and my friends. Fans are fans, regardless of where they are from. It is so humbling and amazing to know you inspire people,” she concludes.
