A cross-session of the corps members taking the oath of allegiance at the Orientation Camp, Ise/Orun/Emure-Ekiti

Members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to Ekiti State have been urged to make patriotism, honesty and dedication their watchwords by Governor Kayode Fayemi.
He reminded them of the importance of living up to their Oath of Allegiance and the national pledge to faithfully serve their fatherland for the country to overcome its myriad of challenges.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Prof. Modupe Adelabu, gave the charge at the swearing-in ceremony for the 2014 Batch ‘B’ corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp at Ise/Orun/Emure-Ekiti.
His words: “Your call-up for service at this crucial period, when the nation is being faced with different security threats should be seen as an opportunity to break new boundaries by bracing up for the challenges ahead of you.”

Fayemi also told the corps members to selflessly and without bias discharge their primary assignments during the compulsory one-year programme.
“I encourage you to eschew primordial sentiments and imaginations in order to remain patriotic, honest, dedicated and true ambassadors of the Scheme. Remember, you have come to serve the nation and no amount of work put in building this nation will go unrewarded,” he said.
While assuring the corps members that his government has put in place all necessary mechanisms to forestall and unforeseen security threats to their lives,  he, however, warned them to be security conscious and take necessary health precautions as well to prevent the spread the Ebola virus epidermis which is the current health challenge confronting the nation.
