News reports have revealed that pop diva, Beyonce, had reportedly fired her entire management team, including her cousin and long time business manager.
Online media house, Page Six reports that the diva made the move to allow her hire a new team to “promote her career and land more lucrative deals”.
The star who is set to perform with singer, Coldplay at the Super Bowl slated for this Sunday, January 7, also let go of her manager for the past 5 years, Lee Anne Callahan-Longo.
The mother-of-one is now reportedly working with Steve Pamon, who had been JP Morgan Chase’s head of sports and entertainment marketing as well as being the brain behind the bank’s sponsorship of Beyonce’s and rapper hubby, Jay Z’s ‘On the Run’ Tour in 2014.
A source close to the star revealed to Page Six, saying:
“Beyoncé basically cleaned house, got rid of her whole team, which included her cousin, and hired a new team. She wants to surround herself with business people who could take her career to an even higher level.
“She has one album left to deliver before her deal is up with Columbia, plus she wants to make smarter decisions where it comes to touring, sponsorships and acting roles.”
Beyonce had reportedly poached Pamon from JPMorgan Chase to her company, Parkwood Entertainment, which combines artist management, music production, tours, motion pictures, TV specials and apparel, in late 2015.
Peter Thea, the former Universal Republic and Island Def Jam exec, is also reported to have been enlisted on her new management team, as well as Dan Ghosh-Roy, heading her digital operations.
