Birdman Calls Off Lil Wayne Settlement

lil-wayne-christina-milian-300x169Lil Wayne and Birdman won’t be breaking bread this Thanksgiving.

Negotiations for a settlement in their ongoing legal battle have been called off. The camps were reportedly one meeting away from finalising an agreement before the plans were shifted, according to TMZ.

Insiders say that the Cash Money boss was upset when Lil Wayne changed his ‘I’m Me’ lyrics at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival to shout out Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records instead of his long-time label Cash Money.

There, he also yelled ‘suck my d*ck,’ adding insult to injury.

Sources also say that if a settlement is going to be reached, both sides will have to keep things cordial in the public eye.

Lil Wayne is suing Cash Money for $51m and has dissed Birdman several times. He recently vowed never to work with his former mentor and has also confirmed that he no longer views him as a family member the way he once did.

‘This is business,’ he said regarding the lawsuit. ‘Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business so once the business is right, then everything is right.’
