Nigerian politician, Reno Omokri has come out to say that biblically, bride price is only paid for brides who are virgins.
He recently revealed that this revelation might shock people but it is the honest truth.
According to him, anyone who is willing to argue with him should take the argument to God because the bible details it.
He added that according to the scriptures, bride price should not be paid for women who are not virgins.
His words, “What I am going to say will shock people. Scripturally, Bride Price is ONLY paid for virgins. Don’t argue with me. Argue with God. See Exodus 22:16-17. By virtue of Scripture (and also in traditional African society), you pay no Bride Price for non Virgin.
