Brocade Demonstrates Leading NFV Solutions With Partners at Mobile World Congress

BARCELONA, SPAIN and SAN JOSE, CA–(Marketwired – Feb 24, 2014) – Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) today announced that it is collaborating with key industry partners to jointly demonstrate several Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) use cases at Mobile World Congress (Barcelona, Spain, from February 24-27). In several demos, the company is showcasing the industry-leading Brocade^® Vyatta^® vRouter and its ability to deliver carrier-class workloads by leveraging virtual network functions.

Description: The demo illustrates secure transport of video traffic over an IPsec VPN enabled by Brocade Vyatta 5400 vRouters and managed by NEC NFV Management and orchestration.

Technologies: Brocade VDX^® 6740 Switch, Brocade 6510 Fibre Channel module and Hitachi UCP
Description: Hitachi UCP solution for file-based media workflows with Brocade networking for blade server connectivity, top-of-rack LAN connectivity and scalable NAS-to-backend Fibre Channel storage connectivity.
