Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu has said Muhammadu Buhari’s absence will only become unconstitutional when it is up 21 days.
2 days after Buhari began a 10-day private visit to the UK, the presidency revealed that he can rule from wherever in the world.
Garba Shehu said, “This is a relatively short absence. If you check Section 145 (1) and (2) of the Constitution, you will see that the law is only infringed upon when such absence extends to 21 days.”
However, as of two days ago, it hasn’t been confirmed if the president informed the legislature about his trip.
Uche Secondus also blasted Buhari’s 10-day private visit to the United Kingdom, saying he has embarked on “voyage unknown”.
