President Muhammadu Buhari has sent out condolences to families who have experienced the death of a loved one or watched their homes perish in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi as Tropical Cyclone Idai begins to worry Southern Africa.
In a recent statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari noted that he shared in the sorrow of the governments and people in that region.
He also revealed that he trusted the government to work extra hard to control the situation and reduce its effect on the countries involved.
He then assured the governments and people of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi of the prayers and support of Nigeria in these trying times.
