Muhammadu Buhari is currently leading Abubakar Atiku by a massive margin in Yobe state after results in five local governments were made known at the presidential collation centre in Damaturu, the capital.
Prof. Abubakar Gundiri, Vice Chancellor, University of Wukari, who was in charge of declaration of the results as returning officer, said Buhari received 12,227 votes in Gujba while Atiku got just 325 votes.
In Tarmuwa local government, Buhari clinched 12,122 votes against Atiku’s 1, 269 votes.
As for Damaturu local government, APC got 35,772 votes against PDP’s 2,099.
In Karasuwa local government, APC gathered 22,377 to defeat PDP which has 3,692 votes.
Yobe has 17 local governments.
Results are expected in 12 more councils.
