Governor Nyesom Wike of River State has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the presidential election petition tribunal.
In a recent statement released by the governor’s media aide, Simeon Nwakaudu Wike begged Buhari to use his victory to work for all Nigerians, “irrespective of their political leanings.”
His words, “Governor Wike called on the President to work towards the unity of the country, noting that the country is divided.”
However, even if the River State Governor has accepted the judgement by congratulating PMB, some are still rejecting the court’s verdict.
PDP, in a recent statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan shared that even with the clear evidence laid before the court, President Buhari was still declared winner.
Kola said the judgement was a barefaced subversion of justice and a slap on the integrity of Nigeria’s justice system, Kola Ologbondiyan added that PDP was surprised that the tribunal allegedly failed to point to justice.
