    Buhari/Osinbajo Ticket Has Re-Defined 2015 Race – Fayemi

Kayode-FayemiImmediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has commended the choice of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate for the February 2015 presidential election.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode on Thursday, the former governor said Osinbajo’s choice has further reinforced the APC’s determination to effect the change which Nigerians have been yearning for.

Fayemi described Osinbajo as a renowned teacher, legal expert, administrator and a reform-minded technocrat, who embodies the virtues of honesty, integrity, selflessness and dedication to the overall good of the society.

He also said the former Lagos Attorney General remains a strategic partner to Buhari in the onerous task of driving the change.

He said, “Every time pundits come up with their doomsday predictions of APC’s imminent collapse, APC comes out stronger right from its founding. The choice of Osinbajo is also leaving us much stronger for the task ahead. I commend General Buhari and other party leaders for arriving at a choice that is bound to strengthen our ticket.

“Regardless of what sceptics are saying, the APC is set to run an issue-based campaign and carry along every segment of the society in the electoral process that would culminate in the APC emerging victorious at the 2015 presidential election. The choice of Buhari as presidential candidate and Osinbajo as running mate; two distinguished Nigerians and men of impeccable character and untainted public service records has re-defined the 2015 contest and become a concern to the ruling party”.

Fayemi, who was chairman of the national convention planning committee of the APC, therefore, called on Nigerians to support the party in making the change by voting massively for APC at the forthcoming polls.
