DENVER, CO–(Marketwired – Apr 7, 2015) – BuildingDNA (www.buildingdna.co), developer of the BuildingDNA™ dynamic mapping platform for Smart Buildings and Emergency Preparedness, announced today that has partnered with Regis University’s College of Computer and Information Sciences (CC&IS) (www.regis.edu/ccis) to define the company’s ideal production management enterprise infrastructure, while providing the College’s graduate students an invaluable professional development opportunity.
Over an eight-week session, six groups of 5-7 students each, working to earn a Master’s Degree in one of five Information Technology (IT) disciplines, will be challenged to elevate their critical thinking to be more specific and decision-oriented — stepping outside their case method curriculum to gain tangible, applicable experience by working directly with BuildingDNA. For the company, the groups will be working independent of each other to define production infrastructure systems, seeking to deliver a roadmap to efficient, scalable and profitable operations. The students will write mock requests for proposal (RFP), source actual vendors and present to BuildingDNA comprehensive, actionable proposals.
“Ours is a very symbiotic partnership with Regis University’s College of Computer & Information Sciences,” explained BuildingDNA COO and CC&IS faculty member Walt Sulmeisters. “We are able to provide students a highly experiential capstone to their graduate studies, and help satisfy the final requirements of their degree. In turn, BuildingDNA will benefit from the collaborative work of very bright minds, resulting in a clear path to: creating an enterprise-level solution, reducing manual interfaces across our business functions and establishing the IT foundation necessary to realize BuildingDNA’s high-growth potential.”
