• Develop long and short term business goals, objectives and targets as part of the department’s planning and budgeting process.
• Ensure that business goals, objectives and targets are met on a timely basis.
• Conduct extensive market research and intelligence gathering on customers and competitors.
• Develop Marketable business idea that cut across all client segments and suits market demands.
• Source for clients and generate leads for sales or partnerships
• Work with supervisor to develop visitation /activity schedule/plans to facilitate realisation of the departmental targets.
• Carry out regular customer visitation and manage customer relationship.
• Prepare proposals to sell business ideas to potential or current clients/partners and carry out follow-up sales activities.
• Proactively identify and report on potential revenue streams and new market opportunities
• Proactively gather current customer data /information and regularly feed Control/call centre department with this information to update the customer database for reliability and accuracy.
• Prepare reports of activities /projects.
• Attend workshops, trade shows, seminars and other networking events to keep up to date on changes in the industry and to meet prospective clients and partners.
• Prepare agreed activity and performance reports on a timely basis, for the attention of the supervisor
