A general rule worth following if you hope to achieve anything even close to fake happiness in this life is NEVER RESPOND TO TROLLS. There are a few exceptions to this rule, including instances in which trolls are actually just poorly disguised neo-Nazis and/or when you’re invited to respond in front of a camera for Noisey’s always watchable “The People vs.” series.
For the latest episode, Cardi B responded to “Bodak Yellow” YouTube comments both good and bad with her usual dedication to realness.
In response to one of multiple Dora the Explorer-related comments, Cardi noted the pedophiliac grossness of the user’s makeout request. Someone else claimed that “Bodak Yellow” made them “hate” their dick, prompting this classic Card response:
“Well, hopefully you learn to love your asshole.”
Thankfully, not all of the selected comments were extracted from the perpetually clogged pores of trolls.
Detractors be goddamned, Cardi B is now a two-time Grammy nominee. “Bodak Yellow” grabbed nods for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, which hopefully means we’ll be getting a very Cardi Grammys broadcast Jan. 28.
In the meantime, we await the official video for “MotorSport” featuring Cardi, Migos, and Nicki Minaj. For a brief moment, fans thought the video would be dropping Dec. 1. Cardi later clarified that the release had unfortunately been delayed.
