Chad won their first ever Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) title after beating Congo 3-2 in the final on Sunday, 14 December 2014 in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.
The feat, represents a huge achievement for Les Sao, whose previous best record was a lone goal loss to Cameroon in the final of the 2005 edition.
Chad will host the next edition in March 2015, eight years after they last hosted the zonal championship.
In the third place match, Cameroon beat hosts Equatorial Guinea 7-6 on penalties after a barren draw in regulation time.
Other participants at the championship organized by the Central African Football Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC) were Central African Republic and Gabon.
