Alhaji Ado Tambai, the Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government, the council area of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). Tambai, along with other APC local council chairmen, cited dissatisfaction with the party despite their loyalty to Ganduje.
Upon receiving the former APC council chairmen, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf stated that NNPP welcomes anyone wishing the state the best.
He welcomed the defectors to the party and assured them that they would work together with other NNPP members as one family.
“We are going to work with anybody who is ready to be on board our salvation journey of a greater Kano, and we will do that for a better state for everybody as one family,” the governor said.
