Paris Saint-Germain have enough financial strength to lure Eden Hazard away from Chelsea in the summer, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.
.
The Belgian international has been the subject of speculation which predicts a sensational offer from the French champions, with the hope that Chelsea will allow their star man to leave for the right price.
.
And despite the fact that not only is Hazard contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2017 but Jose Mourinho is thought to want to offer him a lucrative new deal in the near future to tie him down, Le 10 claims that PSG could well swoop in with a €60million bid in order to get their man.
.
Laurent Blanc’s side have a history of being forceful negotiators in recent years, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva all having been prised away from teams who would have ideally retained them.
.
Le 10 also suggests that due to PSG’s incredible financial backing they would be prepared to offer Hazard far more than Chelsea to determine if they can’t lure him away based on monetary incentives.
.
It’s likely that Mourinho will move heaven and earth to ensure Hazard does not return to France given his importance to the Blues setup. However if they leave contractual negotiations until the summer then they run the risk of PSG imposing themselves to such an extent that it may be impossible to turn them down.
