Chelsea Set To Bid For Alex Sandro

ALEX SANDROChelsea are closing in on a stunning £100million double deal for Juventus duo Leonardo Bonucci and Alex Sandro, according to reports.

Antonio Conte looks ready to splash the cash at Stamford Bridge after a frustrating few weeks in the summer transfer window.

The Blues boss is said to have grown agitated by the club’s lack of transfer activity as most of his rivals have already announced their first summer signings.

But Conte, 47, is now ready to pounce after being informed by his former club Juventus that they will listen to offers of £45m for Bonucci.

The Sun claim Chelsea are determined to force through a move for the 30-year-old defender, who can fill the void left by departing club legend John Terry.

Former Italy boss Conte is also keen to add Sandro to his ranks at Stamford Bridge – Juve revealed earlier in the week that they received a ‘substantial’ offer for the 26-year-old Brazilian.

The Premier League champions are believed to be willing to offer Sandro a contract worth around £160,000-a-week as the full-back considers his future in Turin.

Asked whether the player would be staying at Juventus this summer, club director Beppe Marotta said: ‘A substantial offer has arrived for Sandro.

‘We have no intention of selling anyone, but don’t want to keep anyone against their will.’
