World Health Organization, WHO chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said there is no need to take steps that will interfere with international travel and trade all in an attempt to combat the spread of a coronavirus that has murdered 361 people in China.
Tedros believes all nations must implement decisions that are evidence-based and consistent.
According to him, the strategy to curb its spread has been really effective in China and if it was not for the country, things might have been worse.
He added that the spread aborad is currently minimal and slow, but things might worsen.
His words, “Because of this strategy and it weren’t for China, the number of cases outside China would have been very much higher.”
“We call on all countries to implement decisions that are evidence-based and consistent.”
