Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi, India According to a news statement from the Chinese Embassy in India, on Tuesday, Ma Jia stated that China remains committed to the right path in its relations with India and that both nations should refrain from undermining and doubting the other.
We want China-India ties to remain steadfastly on the right track. Rather than undermining and denying one other’s success, “China and India are eternal neighbours who need to accurately understand each other’s strategic intentions,” she said.
The official announcement also stated that the Chinese envoy had urged both China and India to leave the region out of geopolitical calculations while speaking at the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

We need to stand united in our opposition to zero-sum games and our efforts to shield our region from geopolitical calculations, she continued. The two countries have the brains and brawn to figure out how to get along as neighbours and usher in the “Asian Century” together.
She brought up the ongoing geopolitical difficulties between the two nations and stated that President Xi Jinping of China and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India spoke during the BRICS summit and agreed to communicate in order to return the border to normalcy.
The ambassador said, “This year, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi attended the SCO and BRICS Summits and had a conversation during the BRICS Summit. The 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit was held in New Delhi, and Premier Li Qiang was there.
To transition from emergency reaction to normalised management and control, the two parties kept in touch through diplomatic and military channels.
“Bilateral trade has performed strongly,” she continued, “and the trade volume reached 77.6 billion US dollars in the first seven months of this year.” The amount of individuals travelling back and forth between the two countries keeps growing.
She acknowledged that the tensions between India and China are rooted in the past and will take time to dissipate if they are ever to be normalised.
She then referred the reporters to a news release, in which she cited the following passage: “There is an old Chinese adage, “The smaller details fall into place when they coincide with the greater vision.”
Instead of letting isolated incidents define our bilateral ties, we should work to strengthen and expand the overall climate of friendly cooperation between our two countries through effective management and resolution of specific issues.
Mia praised India’s G20 chairmanship and asserted that China supports the interests of developing nations.
“The motto of the G20 Summit in New Delhi was “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” which is strongly congruent with the idea of establishing a community with a common future for humanity. Both China and India can be found in the Southern Hemisphere.
A Chinese envoy recently argued that the international community must “unwaveringly support the improvement of developing countries’ representation and voice in the reform of the global governance system” by standing firmly on the side of developing countries, upholding independence, working for unity and rejuvenation, advancing economic globalisation, opposing hegemonism and power politics, and so on.
According to the announcement, she also said, “We are ready to work with people from all walks of life who care about and support China-India relations and promote the stability, improvement, and development of bilateral relations for the benefit of the two countries and two peoples.”
