The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, swear in 14 newly appointed judges of the Federal High Court.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at Courtroom Two of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Abuja.

The National Judicial Council (NJC) had recently recommended the 14 candidates to President Bola Tinubu for appointment as judges of the Federal High Court.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Supreme Court, Dr. Festus Akande, members of the bench, bar and media organisations are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
The statement also emphasised strict adherence to the prescribed dress code and security protocols for entry into the courtroom.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation,” the statement read.
