The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties has condemned the assault on Justice John Adeyeye of the Ekiti State High Court in Ado-Ekiti on Sept. 25 during the inaugural sitting of the state Election Tribunal.
The condemnation was contained in a letter by the conference to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mariam Aloma Mukhtar, signed by Mr Osita Okechukwu, CNPP National Publicity Secretary in Abuja on Sunday.
The conference, in the statement, condemned the “tragic assault on the temple of justice” in Ekiti State.
It called on the CJN and Chairman of the Nigeria Judicial Council to, as a matter of urgent national importance, relocate the two courts to Abuja, for speedy dispensation of justice.
