The Coalition of Middle Belt Groups has unequivocally endorsed Alhaji Usman Ododo’s triumph as the All Progressives Congress candidate in the Kogi gubernatorial election, asserting that the stance of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and other political entities serves as a validation of the electoral process.
Dr. Omale Ben Amedu, the convener of the group and former APM Deputy Governorship candidate, refuted attempts to undermine the credibility of the election, emphasizing that the results accurately represented the will of the people.
Amedu acknowledged the challenges faced during the election but maintained that it was free, fair, and credible.

He asserted, “The outcome of the elections in Kogi State is an expression of the people’s wishes,” highlighting the negligible nature of encountered glitches.
The Coalition commended major parties for refraining from legal challenges, attributing this to the transparent conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) throughout the electoral process.
Strongly condemning alleged false claims by the elections petitions tribunal secretary in Lokoja, Amedu stated that such assertions lacked merit and accused her of discrediting the election’s outcome with a scripted narrative.
The Coalition called on INEC to enhance its facilities and processes while commending the overall conduct of the Kogi election.
Amedu appealed to stakeholders in Kogi to unite in supporting the elected governor, fostering sustainable growth and development in the state.
