During the celebration, Lagbaja urged the troops to remain resolute in their duty to ensure the safety of the people and defend the country’s territorial integrity.
He commended the Nigerian Army for its operational achievements and assured them of increased equipment support in the coming year to enhance their services.

Acknowledging the challenges that accompany success, Lagbaja emphasized the importance of hard work and expressed confidence that with support from the executive and legislature, the military would achieve more milestones.
In a call for collective responsibility in security matters, he urged residents to provide useful information about any suspicious activities to the security formations, emphasizing that security is a shared obligation.
Lagbaja highlighted the significance of the Christmas celebration as an opportunity to connect with the troops, including those who were injured, to boost their morale and share the festive spirit.
