The wife of Cross River State governor, Lady Obioma Liyel Imoke, has urged people of the state to ensure that they collect their permanent voters’ card, saying that would guarantee them access to free medical services, insurance for their children and employment.
Mrs Imoke spoke at Itighidi, home town of Governor Liyel Imoke, when she went to obtain her voters card.
She said government agencies in the state may soon begin to pay special attention to only women and children with voters’ card.
“This may also apply to other social services in the state. So, I strongly encourage women and youths to ensure that they not only arm themselves with voters card, but should use it to elect candidates of their choice”, she said.
“Please ask everyone around you to obtain their cards. Do not be an arm chair decision maker; make your opinion count”, Mrs. Imoke added.
