The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has refuted claims by Reno Omokri that a court had quashed the warrant of arrest issued against him.
James Paul Adama, Convener of the forum, described Omokri’s assertion as false and misleading, insisting that the legal proceedings remain ongoing.
Background on the Case

A remand warrant against Omokri was issued by Chief Magistrate Emmanuel A. Iyanna on January 13, 2025, following an ex-parte motion filed by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
The warrant stemmed from allegations of defaming Christianity and harassing religious leaders online.
However, Omokri, in a Facebook post, claimed the court had vacated the order.
Adama’s Response
In a statement on Monday, Adama clarified that Pastor Paul Enenche had no involvement in the case and had never filed any legal action against Omokri.
He maintained that the petition was initiated by concerned Christian youths seeking to address cyberbullying and defamatory remarks against Christian leaders.
“It is important to set the record straight and ensure the public is not misled by misinformation. The matter is ongoing,” Adama stated.
He further accused Omokri of attempting to manipulate public perception by falsely claiming that the magistrate had dismissed the case.
“The truth is that Reno Omokri is still facing legal proceedings. His claim that his remand warrant has been quashed is completely false.
The absence of his name from the FIR is merely a procedural issue and does not absolve him of any wrongdoing,” he added.
Legal Pursuit Continues
Adama emphasized that the Concerned Christian Youth Forum remains committed to ensuring that justice takes its course.
“The misguided ploy of Omokri and his cohort is nothing but a desperate attempt to divert attention from reality. No matter how far he runs, the long arm of the law will eventually catch up with him,” he stated.
He reaffirmed the group’s determination to pursue legal recourse through appropriate channels, expressing confidence in the justice system to expose what he termed Omokri’s “unscrupulous tactics.”
