    Conduct Tribunal summons 13 public officers in Gombe State.

    The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Yakubu Umar has issued summons to thirteen public officers in Gombe State for trial scheduled for March, 2014.

    The disclosure was made at the tribunal headquarters in Abuja on Monday February 10, 2014 by the Director of Legal Services of the tribunal, Abdulmalik Shaibu. He noted that the public officers include: staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria as well as the serving Chairman and Councilors of some Local Government Areas in Gombe State, Nigeria.

    Abdulmalik Shaibu alleged that they have breached the Code of Conduct for Public Officers as enshrined in the 1999 Amended Constitution of Nigeria and the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.

    According to him, the trial has been slated for the 20th and 26th of March 2014 at the tribunal’s court room in Abuja and would be presided over by the Chairman of the tribunal Danladi Yakubu Umar (Justice) along with William Agwadza Atedze and Robert Ewa Odu (Justices), who are also members of the tribunal.
