    Coronavirus in Nigeria: 221 New Cases confirmed, 1010 Deaths and 53,021 Total Cases as of 26th August 2020

    Two Hundred and Twenty-One (221) new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were confirmed and reported in Nigeria within the last 24 hours. This was contained in the COVID-19 update provided by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

    The new cases reported are as follows:

    Plateau: 60
    FCT Abuja: 33
    Kaduna: 26
    Rivers: 18
    Lagos: 17
    Enugu: 9
    Kwara: 9
    Ondo: 9
    Nasarawa: 6
    Gombe: 5
    Anambra: 5
    Delta: 4
    Abia: 4
    Imo: 3
    Edo: 2
    Ogun: 2
    Oyo: 2
    Osun: 2
    Bauchi: 1
    Kano: 1

    Currently, there are 53,021 confirmed cases in Nigeria with 1010 deaths. However, 40,280 people have so far recovered and been discharged.
