Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State were advised by the media office of Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, Member representing the Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency, not to count the lawmaker out of its self-inflicted trouble.
The statement made on Wednesday said PDP members in the state were deluded for blaming their tribunal losses on Gagdi and President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem.
“We note with dismay attempts to drag the name of our principal, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, into the political tsunami that has befallen their party in Plateau State,” the statement adds.
When people are in a desperate state, they may keep looking for someone to blame. This can be appreciated but is not condoned.
To add insult to injury, our principal has used the tagline “we know whom they know, but they don’t know whom we know” as a weapon in his ongoing campaign of blackmail and extortion against them since at least 2015.
“For the sake of clarity, the catchphrase is an affirmation of our principal’s belief and trust in God as the giver of power to whom He pleases, regardless of the earthly forces against such a person,” the writer explains.
In a statement, the PDP and its proxies in Plateau State were warned not to smear the President of the Court of Appeal, as they would face fierce opposition from decent Nigerians.
