COVID-19 in Nigeria: 216 New Cases, 54,463 Total Cases and 1027 Total Deaths as of 2nd September 2020

Two Hundred and Sixteen (216) new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were confirmed and reported in Nigeria within the last 24 hours. This was contained in the COVID-19 update provided by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The new cases reported are as follows:

Plateau: 59
Rivers: 27
Abia: 22
Lagos: 20
Oyo: 18
Enugu: 17
Kaduna: 11
FCT Abuja: 11
Ogun: 10
Ebonyi: 4
Osun: 4
Ekiti: 4
Delta: 3
Edo: 3
Akwa Ibom: 2
Bauchi: 1

Currently, there are 54,463 confirmed cases in Nigeria with 1027 deaths. However, 42,439 people have so far recovered and been discharged.
