Situated in the heart of Vienna, Austria, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is offering a full-time internship opportunity in the IT Development Group of the Data Services Department.

The IT Development Group has the responsibility of developing and maintaining up-to-date IT applications and database systems, and providing specialized documentation and references.

The purpose of the internship is to promote the participant’s understanding of the Organization’s goals and objectives while developing her/his professional experience through direct exposure to IT projects. In return, the intern will assist in re-designing the OPEC Intranet to ensure enhanced visual presentation of data and user friendliness.

Duration: The internship will be for an initial period of three months.

Eligibility: The successful candidate will be between 21 and 32 years of age, and at least enrolled in the final year of a recognized undergraduate IT program.

Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate solid knowledge in creating different types of graphs using jQuery and Ajax as well as a good command of written and spoken English. Preference will be given to local candidates.
