Ex Ajax and Manchester United midfielder, Jesper Olsen is of the opinion that Matthijs De Ligt is good enough to play for any clubside in the world and has predicted that the youngster will join Manchester United.
The teenager is currently one of the best young players in European football and his status is growing rapidly after Ajax’s remarkable run to the UCL quarter-finals – their best record in the competition since 2003.
Barcelona and Liverpool are also interested in this services and it is looking like it will be a battle between the top guns in Europe at the end of the season.
Jesper said to Omnisport, ‘No doubt about it [he could play for United],’
‘Playing at Ajax, you have to be a quality player. So, of course, he could [play for United], no doubt about it. He could fit into any top team at the moment.’
Manchester United have also been tipped to buy other exciting young players like Jadon Sancho, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Declan Rice this summer.
