Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho has come out to hail Dele Alli for working his way back into his team. He recently revealed that the English midfielder definitely deserved to start the club’s last game because of his improved form.

According to Jose, him handing Alli a start was not a gift, it was actually a consequence of his 100 per cent hardwork since he was given a chance.

Mourinho added that Spurs need every member of the squad this season, and Dele Alli is also willing to contribute.

His words, “He deserved to start. It was not a gift. It was a consequence of his work since he came back and working 100 per cent,”

“He was giving us important things. Did very well in the Europa League and very well in every minute he had.”

“He was deserving. We need the squad we have.”
